Today is “Car Free Day” in Bogotá, Colombia. Bogotá is one of the most polluted cities in Latin America. An estimated 1.5 million passenger cars circulate in the Colombian capital every day.
While many citizens use the “Car Free Day” to ride their bicycles or skate, many more perceive this day as a burden and try by all means to catch a taxi, a bus or find ways to use another type of motorized vehicle.
Still, the Car Free Day is a forum to debate the cities serious transportation problems.
